Terms of Service

Effective Date: August 16, 2026 Last Updated: August 16, 2026

Welcome to WeatherStudioPRO, and thank you for choosing our platform. This End-User Licence Agreement serves as the official terms of use for our software and services. We've made every effort to present these terms in a clear and accessible format. By creating an account, subscribing to a plan, or otherwise using WeatherStudioPRO, you confirm your acceptance of these conditions, so let's get started.

01 Your Licence to Use WeatherStudioPRO

When you subscribe to WeatherStudioPRO, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the software on the number of devices included with your plan. This is a permission to use the software — it is not a sale of the software itself. You are not permitted to transfer, resell, rent, lease, or sublicense this licence, and you may not share your account credentials or licence key with anyone outside your organisation.

WeatherStudioPRO is built for professional use, and your subscription covers use by you or by your organisation for its own broadcasts, operations, briefings and content. What it does not cover is redistributing the software itself, operating it as a service on behalf of unrelated third parties, or reselling access to it. For those arrangements — including enterprise deployments, OEM licensing, or white-label use — a separate written agreement is required. Use of that kind without such an agreement is strictly prohibited.

02 Accounts & Device Activations

Using WeatherStudioPRO requires an account. You are responsible for providing accurate information, for keeping your password secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at support@weatherstudiopro.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation.

Each plan includes a set number of concurrently activated devices. When you sign in to WeatherStudioPRO on a machine, that machine consumes an activation slot for the duration of your subscription. You can deactivate a device at any time from your account portal to free the slot for another machine. Activation records exist so we can enforce plan limits fairly — they are not a tracking mechanism, and they are described in detail in our Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account, and if you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, a parent or guardian must accept these terms on your behalf. If you are creating an account on behalf of a company, station, agency or other organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

03 Subscriptions, Billing & Refunds

WeatherStudioPRO is offered on a subscription basis across our published plans. Your card is charged at the time of signup, and your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly or annually, depending on the cycle you selected — until you cancel. Prices, plan inclusions and feature entitlements are published on our plans page, and the entitlements attached to your licence are what govern the features available inside the application.

You may upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time from your account portal. Upgrades and downgrades are prorated automatically. When you cancel, your subscription remains active through the end of the period you have already paid for, and it will not renew after that. We may change our pricing or plan structure from time to time; if we do, changes take effect at your next renewal and we will give you reasonable advance notice so you can decide whether to continue.

All plans include a 14-day money-back guarantee. If WeatherStudioPRO is not right for you, contact us within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund it — no questions asked. Outside that window, payments are non-refundable except where required by law. Payment processing is handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.

04 Platform Availability & Updates

WeatherStudioPRO is designed to run as a desktop application across the platforms listed on our website, and it depends on our hosted services for licensing, account management and certain data feeds. While we strive to ensure consistent functionality and high availability, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or indefinite support for every platform, operating system version or hardware configuration.

We are committed, however, to providing regular updates, fixes and improvements whenever feasible. From time to time we may add, modify, or retire features. If we retire something material to your use of the platform, we will make a reasonable effort to communicate it in advance. Scheduled maintenance and, occasionally, emergency maintenance may briefly interrupt access to hosted services.

05 Data Collection and Privacy

Your privacy is a priority. We collect and process your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: we collect the account information needed to run your subscription — your email address, your plan and licence status, and a record of the devices you have activated — along with the application settings you choose to sync.

If your plan includes Cloud Sync, your WeatherStudioPRO configuration is stored on our servers so it can be restored or carried between your own devices. That configuration is your workspace layout and preferences — not a record of what you looked at. We may share limited data with third-party service providers for purposes such as payment processing, email delivery and customer support, and we will always maintain transparency about that practice. We do not sell your personal information.

06 Acceptable Use

We ask that you use WeatherStudioPRO responsibly. In particular, you agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or attempt to derive the source code of the software, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction.
  • Circumvent, disable or tamper with licensing, entitlement, device-activation or authentication mechanisms, or use a licence key or account you are not entitled to.
  • Share your account credentials, or exceed the device activation limits included with your plan.
  • Scrape, mirror, relay or resell the data feeds delivered through the platform, or use them to build a competing service.
  • Place unreasonable load on our infrastructure, including automated polling far beyond normal application behaviour, or otherwise interfere with the operation of the service for others.
  • Use the platform to distribute unlawful content, to misrepresent official weather information, or in any way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

Where the application allows you to add your own imagery, branding, custom locations or other content, you remain responsible for that content and confirm you have the rights to use it.

07 Weather Data, Alerts & Availability

We relay official alerts — we do not issue them

WeatherStudioPRO delivers real-time watches, warnings and advisories as they are issued by the National Weather Service and other official meteorological agencies. WeatherStudioPRO is a distribution and visualization platform, not an issuing authority. We do not create, upgrade, downgrade, cancel or editorialise the alerts we display — the issuing agency is always the authoritative source, and the text and geometry of its product govern.

WeatherStudioPRO is built to be depended on in an operational setting. Watch, warning and advisory products are ingested directly from official feeds and pushed to your workstation in real time, with polygon geometry, expiration times and product text reproduced as issued. Radar is served from the same official sources that feed the agencies themselves. We have engineered the platform so that these products reach you quickly and faithfully, and we treat any degradation of them as a priority incident.

We take commercially reasonable steps to keep our data pipelines — and in particular the critical feeds such as weather alerts and radar — online, monitored and operational, including redundancy and failover where it is available to us. Outages can nevertheless still occur. A substantial part of this chain is outside our control: an upstream agency feed can fail, degrade or be taken down for maintenance; a radar site can go into maintenance or off the air; a satellite or model product can be delayed or suspended; and network, ISP, hardware or platform failures at any point between the issuing agency and your screen can interrupt delivery. Data may also arrive delayed, incomplete, out of order or, rarely, in error. Model guidance is by its nature a forecast, not a statement of fact.

For those reasons we cannot and do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free delivery of any data product, and no service level is guaranteed by these terms. As with any single system in a life-safety workflow, we recommend that operational users maintain an independent means of receiving official warnings — NOAA Weather Radio, Wireless Emergency Alerts, or a direct agency feed — as a backstop for the times when a link in the chain fails.

You remain responsible for how you interpret and present the data, and for any operational, editorial or on-air decisions you make from it. If you broadcast or publish output from WeatherStudioPRO, you remain responsible for what you put on air.

08 Intellectual Property

WeatherStudioPRO and all of its content — including its code, design, interface, mapping engine, colour tables, graphics, documentation, logos and the WeatherStudioPRO name and wordmark — are the property of SDS Weather Inc. and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. This agreement grants you a licence to use the platform but does not confer any ownership rights in it.

You retain ownership of the content you create with the platform: your configurations, custom locations, uploaded imagery and the graphics you produce for your own broadcasts and publications are yours. If you violate these terms, your licence to use the platform may be terminated, and on termination you must stop using the software and remove it from your devices.

09 Third-Party Data & Services

The platform integrates third-party services and data sources that assist in its functionality — including mapping and basemap providers, weather data providers, payment processing and email delivery. These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and some data sources carry their own usage and attribution requirements which pass through to you as a user.

We have no responsibility or liability for the content, availability or activities of third-party services, and their inclusion does not imply endorsement. We encourage you to review the terms of any third-party service you interact with. Where a provider changes or withdraws a feed, we may need to modify or remove the corresponding functionality.

10 Suspension & Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account portal, and you may request deletion of your account by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, if your payment fails and is not resolved, if we are required to do so by law, or if your use poses a security or stability risk to the platform or to other users. Where circumstances reasonably allow, we will give you notice and an opportunity to fix the problem first.

On termination, your licence ends and you must stop using the software. Sections that by their nature should survive — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law — will continue to apply.

11 Disclaimer, Liability & Governing Law

The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive for accuracy and reliability, we do not provide any guarantees regarding its completeness, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation, and to the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Your use of the platform is at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use the platform — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the platform in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal disputes will be adjudicated in the state or federal courts located in the State of Georgia, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. It is a condition of use that you must be at least 13 years old to use the platform, in compliance with US privacy regulations.

12 Miscellaneous Provisions

For any formal notices, please email us at support@weatherstudiopro.com. We are not liable for any delays or service disruptions resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, public emergencies, network or power failures, or the acts of upstream data providers. If you are located outside the United States, you are responsible for ensuring your use of the platform complies with all applicable local laws.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will provide additional notice — by email or in the application — before they take effect. Continuing to use the platform after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.

You may not assign or transfer these terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. Should any part of this agreement be deemed unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. This document, together with our Privacy Policy, constitutes the complete and final agreement between you and us regarding the platform, superseding all prior communications or agreements. Now that all the official business is concluded, please enjoy WeatherStudioPRO!
